 SPRING GREEN
I've always been captivated by the greens of springtime. The season opens with the faintest whisper of the true colours to come, with pale shades so delicate they look fragile. This oil painting was done in early summer of 2011. My intent was to try to capture the clear fresh light green tones of the new reeds growing in the local Waterfowl Park, which is part of the Tantramar marsh system. Not having used Oils for a few years, I felt the attempt was fairly successful, and I'm satisfied with the results.
